Lux... as in Luxemburg
14.06.12Past weekend was the second edition of the "Tour de Lux"
Lux as in Luxemburg, not Luxury, thank you very much!
No champagne, no uptight BS, no stuck up @ssholes, just simple pleasures: Mad company, great roads, lots of driving, lovely blue skies, good food and "almost" too much Irish coffee...
Hans had threatened to come in his VW Rabbit convertible (first series, special gay edition), so we brought him a "Hans Highspeed Tow Cable" just to be sure we wouldn't loose him during a short stint over an empty stretch of German autobahn.
Bet he wished we got him one of those dashboard fans instead, as the weather was looking much better than predicted.
Now he had to flap his doors for ventilation at every stop as he drove his trackday prepped 944 RS with tiny lexan slider windows...
Other highlight was a moment of reflection as Mieke was pressented the beautiful "Hans Kieviet Memorial Trophy" at saturday's diner.
Good Porsche people are getting rare these days, so we was blessed.
Thanks to all there and thanks dad, for letting me blow the cobwebs out of the 993!
