Hammer Time
I've been going back and forth about what to do with the fenders.
Didn't want to go RSR or Turbo width. Too much for my taste, plus I won't have anywhere near the power to need that much rubber to fill them out.

I test fitted a set of Turbo front fenders on the rear of the car a while back. Very nice option and surprising good fit. They don't add any extra width to the car, but they have a VERY different profile from the stock SC/Carrera fenders. Much more pronounced.

Still, not quite it... I wanted something a little different. Should be subtle yet different from the stock flares...
Finally decided to just hammer out the fold that runs along the fender lip. I've seen it on a couple of other cars and I really like the look. Nothing over the top, but still different enuf to be "custom".

So I ordered a set of cheapo hammers 'n dollies last week and figured today was a good day to put them to the test.
Practiced a bit on one of the old SC front fenders first and then quickly moved on t0 the passenger side rear fender on the car.

Pretty pleased with the initial results. Gives a little less modern feel to the flares. Kinda ST-light if you will...
I'm going to give them another go, to smooth them out a little more, but even now, they'd only need a very little filler to smooth out.

Also got rid of that pesky tar/sound insulation on the drivers side floor. Not the most fun job (done it a couple of times already), but with enuf heat, it'll come out quite easily.

All in all a couple of good productive hours and a nice way to clear my mind.
Anyway, here's some pics...
